How is everyone logging their drink chips/tokens for drinks that are already paid for?

I would create a token button and have servers ring them in and at the end just void them. Create a void reason called "token" so you can keep track of the amount voided. This is an issue toast has just like event deposits. there isnt really a way to have accountability for pre-paid items other than tracking voids manually.

I’m not familiar with tokens. But does House Accounts not work in this type of scenario? Except guests pay at the end instead beforehand. I’m sorry. I’m just curious and want to learn different operations. Thanks

my best method is a special discount key that allows the token to be taken and put in the drawer. It's not ideal but it will work.

Our situation is not exactly the same as we give out Drink Tokens as a way of marketing, we simply show them as a special discount on our discount item screen as 100% called Token and ring in the item such as well drink, beer, house wine. It seems to work in our situation. The only time purchased is for groups.

Has anyone developed a system for bar chips / tokens? We have the customer that is buying the chip pay for what the other customer is drinking. Then, when the chip is used - maybe next day, we don't want to re-ring it up as this would overstate sales.

Token = item set to deferred revenue paid for up front
Create an Other Payment to close out any Token Redemption drinks as such

Really don't understand why you don't do it immediately as a token discount on the item.
