Our restaurant takes deposit for larger groups and there is a minimum spend eg $ 2500 is the minimum spend then they have to pay 50% deposit..

On the day of function they can order anything form the menu and while settling the check we need to deduct the amount from the check. This function is not available.. can this be looked into as we are doing it manually on a Payment system on Moneris and is manually accounted.

This is also a loss for Toast as the revenue is not posted.

Have see this feature in every other software.. Have been requesting this for a year..

Hi Rob

This is for events deposit.. we take deposit for Blocking tables more than 15 pax and there is a minimum spend .. 50% of the amount is to be taken as deposit . this is reduced from the final invoice on the day of function.. We need to punch the items they choose and when closing the receipt we got to reduce the deposit amount.

This is not possible on toast..

You could use the "Other Payment" option to subtract the value from the check, that's also what I have seen other locations with a similar setup to yours do.
