I have automated our payroll process using Power Query. Although we only have a single location, we have over 100 employees working in multiple business lines (restaurant, bakery, catering,...). I extract several different reports from Toast POS at the end of each pay period, run ETL processes on each and generate standardized tables for our payroll processors. We have eliminated all manual data entry and manipulation except for the entering of cash tips by servers and for common registers; all other data is auto-generated. Start-to-finish, it takes approximately 5-10 minutes to generate the reports for our processors. Further, these reports are cumulative in our database and allow us to see a detailed time series of all components of our payroll. This is helpful for tracking labor costs and identifying seasonal patterns in each of our business.

If you would like to discuss further, I'd be happy to have a conversation.

Hi Toast POS Community,

I manage a food hall location that utilizes Toast POS to track employee clock-ins and clock-outs. Currently, I export this timesheet data and manually enter it into the payroll system for my main store, which is a time-consuming and error-prone process. Is there a way to directly import timesheets from Toast POS into the Toast Payroll module or another payroll system to streamline this process? Ideally, I’m looking for a solution such as CSV upload or integration with a third-party payroll provider (e.g., ADP, Gusto, or 7shifts) that can automate this process. Has anyone found a workaround or best practice for consolidating timesheets across multiple locations?

Any insights, tips, or recommended integrations would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
