Feature Request: Manager Log Upgrades

Hi Toast Team, I'd love to see two expansions to the Manager Log that would make it the sturdiest in the business:

1. Employee Search: The ability to tag specific employees in a log and search for them across a multi-day date range. This would help managers easily track patterns (like being late 5 times) for performance reviews and write-ups. 2. Auto-Email Triggers: The ability for specific log categories to automatically trigger emails to relevant teams. For example, a note in the maintenance log about a leaky faucet instantly emails the maintenance team, or finance notes go straight to accounting.

Feature Request: Auto Fulfill Virtual Prep Station.

Issue: Items sent to a "no print" virtual prep station, never acually get fulfilled, therefore the table will never turn green on the POS Table Layout screen, because it thinks its still waiting for items to be completed.

Fix: create a toggle prep on the prep station record to allow that prep station to automatically mark items as completed. therefore allowing no print items to be fulfilled automatically.

If you set "No Print - 1" (or what you name it) to be sent to Expediter Only on the Prep Station setup, it will fulfill when the rest of the order is fulfilled on the Expo. Note that that will now cause it to show on the Expediter! That might not be what you want, unless you train your staff to ignore those items (maybe even give it a Kitchen name of "Ignore this" and select Black for the color).

Correct. Unfortunately any restaurant using a printer for a bar prep station will never have tables with drinks turn green, as they are never fulfilled.

I dont want every bar drink to show up on a kitchen expo screen, as they are already printing to the bar prep station, but since its not a KDS, they never mark a fulfilled to turn tables green on the POS.

True.

Options are to wait until Toast makes a self-fulfilling prep station or send it to the expo with a kitchen name of "ignore this" and have the staff double tap it off the screen. I can see the latter option to be undesirable...

Your OP has the optimal solution - have a checkbox for a prep station to automatically fulfill. Maybe one day...

agreed! as for the kitchen 'non print' stuff-- we just send them to an "expo only" prep station, which is usually an old random android tablet--- although now i see they truly have a way to send ONLY to the expo screen and not to a prep station+ expo screen! so thats a big step!
