I got the dreaded email... .99 fee starting july 10th

I Am mostly a takeout spot and I don't accept phone orders. I receive an average of 2500 online orders a month thru toast online ordering channels. I Guarantee I Will have a new system in place by July 10th if I cant get this removed. Toast is not about to make an extra $2500 a month FROM MY CUSTOMERS. Im so fed up. Im sure everyone else is as well. Please fix this toast.

I just got it too and am beyond fn pissed off. This is such BS. This is not something I signed up for. How can they just add fees to my customers? I will lose business over this and have to field tons of angry phone calls. And not everyone has to deal with it? So some of my competition using Toast won't have it?

Just a heads up, some lady is gonna email you and pretend to care. And you'll get an invite to speak to the gm of fintech. Do yourself a favor and just skip it and leave Toast.

I spent a whole hour on a call with them today, and genuinely some of the worst people I have ever met with in my life. They have zero interest in finding a solution or changing course. They kept saying "i hear you but here's why this makes sense" when it literally makes no sense.

But yeah I asked him exactly what you should ask him. For our place between the online ordering fees and the $1 charge we are gonna be paying something like $450-$700 per month. A $700 PER MONTH SUBSCRIPTION TO TAKE ONLINE ORDERS. He had mentioned that they mispriced online ordering and with this new charge they just might net even. I asked if $700 per month per restaurant wasn't a bit overkill to net even and he looked surprised like he never thought of iit that way before.

A whole lot of other pathetic things too. Literally sentence after sentence was them burying themselves deeper into a hole and non of it made sense.

Terrible company. Terrible people.
