Modifier Grid Sizes

I am currently trying to program my menu and don't have actual physical Toast POS yet. Running my menu on the emulator shows my modifier's "rolling over" onto a second page in some situations. Whereas looking at an actual POS it shows a much larger grid, what can I expect when I put my menu on the actual POS

Does the grid change dimensions as you add modifiers?
Is there a set limit that forces a second page?

Same questions go for groups on the main page, modifier groups per item.

I am trying to design to limit everything to one page without having to scroll the tabs.

Depends on the grid size setting in the device setup, but with the Default setting of 8 x 5 modifiers will expand to as many as 6 x 5 as necessary before going to another page.
