Close Out Day Menu Different

This morning our Close Out Day Menu looks different than it has since I started using Toast. I looked under updates but did not see any updates mentioned for this. All of the buttons on this screen are now on the right-hand side instead of the left under the summary of the day. We used to click view>capture>close out day, but now it shows All checks closed, All employees clocked out, All cash drawers closed, 0 deposits, 2 payments awaiting capture. On the bottom, it says Print report or End Day. Is the correct way to end the day now to click Capture Payments, then End Day?

Is there another place I should be looking for daily updates?

Hey @MelissaL, thanks for reaching out about this! You can capture payments manually by clicking "Capture Payments" on this screen, or they will still be captured automatically overnight. Your assumptions regarding this new credit card batching system are accurate.

The correct way to end the day would be to follow all of the workflow steps on the right side for the most effective close, but at a minimum, we recommend to
-Close any checks (tips / paid)
-Capture Payments (if you want to manually)
-Print the report for the day
-End the Day and leave the Restaurant

@MelissaL So you dont acutally have to end day because it will auto end at 4am and autocapture. This acutally might be more helpful as you will only every have one batch per day deposited. Also if you happen to need to adjust a payment you can still do so until 4am
