Out of stock modifiers report or list

Has anyone figured out a good way to get a list of the Toast modifiers that are out of stock? For regular menu items the 86 report is fine, but for modifiers, I haven't found a good way to get a list. They don't appear on the 86 report. The Items database does not have the ability to display an 'inventory' column. The only way I see to do it is to use the Advanced Properties report, display the 'inventory' column, and then expand every freakin line one by one (there is no 'expand all' option in Toast). Anyone figured out a better way? Thanks

If you use iphone, you can now download "Toast Now" which provides all the information (pretty much) you need in a glance.

@au79teahouse thanks for the Toast Now tip, I do like that dashboard.

Sadly, though, it only displays the same 86 report that you can get in the backend - which doesn't include modifiers.

My apologies. For some reason I thought it tells you that in the app. I created a item called "inventory" and then add all modifiers that constantly run out or requires constantly checking under that item. It's not the best workaround but it gives you better view on what's out.

Ok, so did you create a menu item and assign to it a modifier group that contains all of your modifiers you want to monitor?

Yes sir. Essentially that's what I did. You can create more modifier groups to you want to categorize your modifiers too.

Ok, cool - and for the slow kid in the room .... how do you use that to monitor out of stock modifiers?

Staff still go to that "Inventory" item to check the availability on the modifiers. It's just easier for our staff to check what's out and to locate the modifiers when they need to turn off/on.

From what I understand, the Toast Now team is working on getting modifiers to show when you click into the 86'ed items button. In that screen, modifiers don't show up automatically, but you can actually search for them.

I've given Toast this feedback a few times, and also spoke to a couple people. It's being tracked and they are highly aware of it

I also wish under "Advanced Properties" in the backend, that for the "Inventory" column, you can type "In Stock" to put something back in stock. It currently doesn't seem to work for me.
