Feature Request: Set Prep Station and Coursing for Modifiers

There appears to be no ability to set the prep station or Course for Modifiers. Our modifiers are salads/soups. Those go to a different prep station and are a different course from the entree. We have a not ideal work around to make the soups and salads a subgroup instead of modifier. The problem is that the cost is $0 and the same side is $12. We don't want the servers to accidentally select a $0 entree included side vs a paid side.

You can definitely set course and prep stations for modifiers, but in order for them to separate from the menu item you need to enable that setting under kitchen > meal pacing > modifier course firing > set to fire modifier to configured course.

Thank you. I tried that. It still does not let me set the prep station and course for the modifier

Are you using the new menu builder or the classic menu editor? I would use the classic editor or advanced properties for assigning courses and prep stations to modifiers.

advanced properties is one of the best ways to update. Remember to only use the "arrows" and not click on the items

I've looked at both. There is no option to set prep station or course for modifiers

You may not be going far enough, need to edit the modifier itself.

Hover over the modifier and click the right arrow, or click on the modifier then choose edit item on the next screen, scroll down to preparation.

Well this unfortunately isn't working. While I can now specify the course and prep station, the entree is labeled fire instead of hold. This modifier is for soup or salad and that should be fulfilled before the entree. Setting the course as soup or salad should've caused it to hold the entree as it does when I specify a non-entree soup or salad. Is there something else I'm missing?

How is your course pacing configured? Do you have it set to send courses individually or all together?

ok there was a setting - modifier course firing - under pacing not set correctly. Thanks!
