Next Seat Button

When the new POS launched, there were Next Seat and Previous Seat buttons in the upper right corner of the order screen. I don't know if there was an update or something, but the buttons are no longer there. Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone know how to bring them back? My servers liked using them for easy navigation. They are still shown on the screenshot Toast uses in their Toast Central guide on ordering by seat number, so I assume they are still accessible somewhere, right?

There was a toggle added to front of house under order screen setup to turn off order by seat, check if that was turned off. https://central.toasttab.com/s/article/Order-by-Seat

I'm having the same problem- I have and have always had seat numbers required. So what else do I look at?

It might be bugged. You need to turn on the seat numbers in the "Quick Order" section to get it to work

I also am having continued issues with these settings. I have seat numbers required for both Table Service and Quick Order, still no Next Seat or Previous Seat Buttons. Any ideas? Are they gone forever?

Hi!

A manager flagged a similar issue recently, where the seat number button is no longer available when it's just 1 guest on the check. I reached out to Toast support, and they confirmed that this is expected behavior and the only way for that seat number button to appear is 2+ guests on the table. I don't recall seeing a recent update pertaining to seat numbers, but it's possible I missed that on an earlier update.

Not sure if it's 100% the same scenario as yours but thought I'd share! 🙂
