If each vendor’s pastry is its own item within the “Vendor Pastries” Sales category, you can still use the Menu Breakdown report (under Reports>Menus) to see the breakdown.

Hi,

Recently, I have been looking at sales numbers to create detailed sales reports. I want my sales category 'vendor pastry' to be more specific and include which vendor it is coming from to see which vendors are more or less profitable.

Here is an example:

Vendor Pastry (What I have now)

Vendor Pastry- Scholars Inn Bakehouse (more specific- what I want)

Vendor Pastry- Piccoli Dolci (more specific- what I want)

Does anyone know how to enable this specificity within a category? I would really appreciate it.

How is the menu actually structured for these items? Is “Vendor Pastry” a menu “item” and the vendors themselves are modifiers on that item?

If that’s the case, use the “Menu Breakdown” report and make sure you select Items and Modifiers from the second dropdown.
