Why is the EMV Enabled button grayed out?

Is this a handheld? If it is, on the passcode make sure card reader is on in the bottom left of the keypad. If not a handheld try a restart or the device first.

In the article it says “You can do so by pressing the card icon in the lower left corner of the passcode screen (the card icon will remain blue if this step worked).” but there not a card icon on the lower left corner of the passcode screen. That’s what I’m trying figure out. I restart, rebooted, unplugged, switch ports and nothing been working

Card button is only on toast go handheld, if this is a normal flex terminal it would be normal for it to not be there. Which device do you have, could you maybe attach a picture?
