topic Kiosk Visibility in Restaurant Operations

Hi everyone!

We’re looking for a solution for the following challenge:

Location A uses a Kiosk for guests to order takeout beverages such as coffees, sodas, iced teas.

Location B does not have a Kiosk, but instead offers digital menus at each table for guests to view beverages (including alcohol).

Both the Kiosk and the Digital menus display our full alcohol offerings, but we only allow alcohol to be ordered while dining in—not for takeout.

The issue we’re facing is that we cannot hide alcohol from the Kiosk at Location A without also removing it from the Digital menu at Location B, since both locations share the same alcohol menu and same visibility settings. We want to avoid having to create two different alcohol menus as the solution.

In short, we want to prevent alcohol from being ordered via the Kiosk at Location A, but still keep it visible on the Digital menus at Location B.

I’ve brought this up with our Toast representative a few times, but she wasn’t sure about the best solution. Ideally, we’d like to have separate menu visibility for the Kiosk and the OPT, However, I understand that this may not be a priority for Toast at the moment. I’m sure there are other restaurants in a similar situation, where the Kiosk is used exclusively for takeout and Order & Pay is used solely for dine-in orders.

Not familiar with MLM. Having two separate multi location management groups might help in this situation if it can be done.

Hey! Thanks for the reply. We do have different management groups for menu items, but our alcohol menu it is the same at all locations, and I want to avoid having to create two menus separate menus. I like to keep my menus as consolidated as possible to minimize the upkeep of different menus.
