Split Checks and Incorrect Guest Counts

Toast incorrectly assigns the guest count to split checks.

Example. Start a table of 10 and ring in all the food on one check. But then they want it split 5 ways so server hits the split button and moves all the orders around to create 5 checks. Print them and hand them out. EACH CHECK HAS A GUEST COUNT OF 10 so the system reports that we had 50 guests on that table. Toast is copying the guest count to each check rather than dividing it or prompting for the real head count.

Anyone seen this or have a fix?

Thank you for reaching out about this. We are aware that the guest count does not update, but there is no fix for it at this time. The only workaround is to manually adjust the guest count.
