Download all menu items grouped by Categories

Is there an easy way to download all menu item names with prices only grouped by categories?

I was only able to get an xls dump of all items by going to "Items Database" but here again, I can't drop some items I don't need or drop unneeded columns from the report.

Even if I mark "Hide" I get the full blown list, and if I uncheck some items they still show up in the xls download file.

Hope someone found an alternate

Are you talking about by your assigned sales categories?

I don't believe Sales Categories, but under Manage Menu's-> Food -> we have groups as below, then you can expand each and have "Menu Items" under each group.

I want all items listed under each group in the excel together. The "Items Database" download seems a random collection of how ever the items were created or something,

Ok, you could use a menu report, but it is not going to include items not sold, if you set the date range long enough it should include everything. Menu breakdown sorted my menu and items https://www.toasttab.com/restaurants/admin/analytics/home/menu/breakdown also will only show average price, if you need to see price without modifiers you could use the new product mix report https://www.toasttab.com/customers/shop/test-kitchen/product-mix-reporting
