QR code ordering at a hotel - can guests add room numbers in mobile orders?

We have poolside QR codes at our hotel, and want guests to be able to use their room number as an option to pay. I understand that Opera may not talk to Toast in a way that would allow a guest to close themselves out, but I want a way for the guest to add their room number to their order when placing a Toast mobile order, so we have the option to charge the guest when we close the check via POS. Best ways to accomplish this?

Here's the work around I came up with:

MENU: POOL ORDER
MENU GROUP: ADD ROOM NUMBER
ITEM: ADD ROOM NUMBER

I then sorted the menus so this one would appear first to the guest (and server). The guest can then leave a "special instruction" like they would for any menu item. However this is just an open field and the guest can leave blank, enter incorrectly, etc. So we still need our servers to confirm the room number upon delivery of the order. Would love Toast to fix this!

OMG You may have just saved my life! Is there a way for them not to pay in advance through the QR code and just have them place the order without payment?

Yeah you can turn it off, please see attached!
Toast Mobile Order and Pay> Configurations> Payment toggle button

Was going to suggest creating a menu item and using special request for the number but I don't know what would prevent someone from entering any room number they want in and it getting charged to them.
