Printing tickets to a receipt printer and a specific prep station for takeout only

Hi there. We are new to TOAST. Still learning quite a bit. We currently have all our take out orders automatically printing to a receipt printer, which is what we want. The orders fire off to the Expeditor and Prep Station on their KDS. One request is that the Prep Station wants all take out orders to automatically print to his printer as well. Take out only, not Dine In. Is this possible?

If you want it to print as soon as it comes in you would use item routing rules, you would need to set up one for each prep station and reroute based on dining > takeout to the same prep station as well as the additional prep station (you may need to create another prep station and assign that printer to it) https://www.toasttab.com/restaurants/admin/kitchen/itemrouting

If you just want a ticket for a runner or someone packing to reference when it's complete you could use the auto print on fulfill feature under the device setup of the Expo KDS and select Takeout/delivery receipt and it will print to the receipt printer that is assigned to is when fulfilled. https://central.toasttab.com/s/article/Auto-Print-on-Fulfill
