House Accounts receipts are printing twice

Hello! I am wondering why it is when I am charging an order to a house account, two receipts print. I don't need any receipt because the guests ordering don't require one. And certainly not two. I'm wasting receipt tape with the this and am hoping someone has figured out a work around for this. I have talked to multiple Toast help desk professionals and created several requests for a change. Thanks for any advice!

No we have not. I have spoken with support several times. Was told it was being sent up as a problem. However there has not been a resolution. Any ideas?

I believe that house account payments may be affected by properties from online orders; therefore, you need to adjust the settings in "Takeout & delivery" to address this.

1. In Toast Web, navigate to Takeout & delivery Availability Takeout/delivery.
2. Scroll down to the Receipt Printing section.
3. Select the Takeout / Delivery Printer drop-down and choose Print On-Demand Only.
4. Save and publish.

I think many people use the invoicing option, which would also prevent printing receipts.

Hi @Rob , I'm having the opposite problem. We actually WANT house account receipts to print. They do on most terminals, but they do not print immediately when a house account is used on a handheld or on our retail/to-go area terminal because we have the customer sign credit cards on the screen. Is there a way to have house account signature slips print automatically to the assigned receipt printer while still preserving the ability to sign credit cards on the device without a merchant/customer receipt combo printing automatically?

You could try to turn on “Automatically print merchant and customer copy.” I think that will force the house account receipt to print, but it will print all receipts for all orders.

Another thought is making all the HH a specific dining option, then under Payment Receipts for that dining option, enable the merchant copy (or merchant+customer copy) to be printed.

Those are the only two I can think of to get them to print automatically.

Hi, Kirsten, try to set Credit Card Receipts - POS orders to print automatically in Payments > Checks & receipt setup, while setting Digital Receipts to "Yes" in Device Setup. This prints the necessary slip, but keeps the transaction digital on-screen. Hope this works!
