Suggested Gratuity on checks with Gift Card Payments Applied

When a check is paid with a gift cards and there is a remaining balance paid with a credit card, the credit card receipt for suggested gratuities only show the suggested gratuity for the remaining balance and not the original total. Is there a way to adjust that suggested gratuity with this split payment?

Hey, @TwinOwls, we do not have this functionality at this time. The options we have are to enable/disable tipping on gift cards; you can also calculate tips pre-tax or post-tax.
I will pass this feature request to my team; any others that would like this addition, please kudo this post!

Thanks for your inquiry! Tip suggestions should be based on the original check total when taking a partial payment with a gift card now. If that is not the case, you may need to reach out to support for troubleshooting!

Don’t see my last reply but is this on a store by store basis or general toast update? Our restaurant still suggests the tip on the balance after a GC payment

Rob,

I see your update - however I am seeing the same issue still despite the expected final outcome. We just had a check where a guest paid with the full balance of their gift card & the server ran their credit card for the remainder, and on the signature receipt the suggested tip totals decreased to percentages based on the amount the credit card was ran for, not the bill total.
