Pre-mod for "Double" Drinks as a Percentage

This doesn't seem to be an option in Toast, so would love to see the ability to make a pre-mod upcharge a percentage rather than a fixed dollar amount. For example, if a customer ordered a double vodka and soda, you can have a pre-mod named "Double" that can be selected before the vodka, the pre-mod would charge 200% of the original price. This would charge accurately for a double based on the original price of the liquor.

This is a common feature for a lot of the large POS platforms. It eliminates the need to have a double modifier for every single liquor on the bar if you want to price doubles accurately. The only other easy work around is to have a set price for a double, so if someone orders a double house tequila, you charge $4, if someone orders a double Don Julio 1942, you still charge $4. For obvious reasons, this method is not preferred.

It would be much easier to have a pre-mod that could charge a true double price based on the single pour price already loaded into Toast.

Hey There,

I do see the option to make a pre-mod call for a percentage increase rather than a fixed price. The issue there is you can't apply the 2.0 x pre-mod to the actual menu item, it can only be applied to modifiers added after you select the liquor item.

This would mean that all of my liquor selections would need to be set up as modifiers rather than menu items.

This doesn't seem to work the way you need it to for ringing in Double Liquor items, but if there's a better way to achieve this, I am open to suggestions.

Sorry, my confusion, yes it only affects modifiers, you had mentioned pre-mods so I just assumed that is what your were trying to multiply. I agree a way to multiply the price of the base item would be great, or use multipliers in item pricing.

Ah, yeah, I was hoping a Pre-Mod could apply to the actual menu item since there is already an option to set up a multiplier in the pre-mod sections. I have tried to play around with it a bunch and unfortunately I don't see a way to add a modifier of any sort that would change the price of the actual menu item itself.

This would be a good feature in my opinion, especially in my use case in a full service restaurant for pricing of "Double" cocktails etc.
