topic Scheduled Orders in Restaurant Operations

Currently, our kitchen ticket printers print online orders and scheduled orders exactly the same way. And it becomes confusing for our cooks.

For example, the online deliveries print with a quote time on top, typically 1 hour from when they are placed, depending on how I set the quote time. The issue is, when a scheduled order is placed, the ticket looks almost identical to an online order. It prints the scheduled time on top but doesn’t specify it’s a ‘ scheduled order’.

A simple solution would be for all scheduled orders to print with the word ‘Scheduled’ on it. Letting the cooks and staff know that order has a specific due time, not just an estimated quoted time.

We’ve trained our staff to identify the scheduled orders and go back into the kitchen and use a sharpie to circle the scheduled time so the cooks know what’s what.

please let me know if there is a solution here.
