Was wondering if anyone knew of a way to see the orders on hold on the KDS but JUST the orders on hold and in order so we can release the first orders put on hold? Our kitchen will put a hold on food, so we use the hold button but a screen on KDS with ONLY the HOLD orders in order so we can release them in the order they were held. I hope this makes sense!!

How are you putting the orders on hold? Are you saying the waitstaff is told to hold orders and they start using the hold button on the POS? If you want the kitchen to be able to control it you would be better of setting expeditor course firing on, this would automatically put hold on any ticket sent to the KDS, and then whoever is on the expeditor KDS can decide what tickets to fire and when. https://central.toasttab.com/s/article/Automated-and-Expediter-Course-Firing scroll down to what is expeditor course firing.

We are aware of some of the limitations with the Hold button and are working to improve this!
