Category Sales by Server by Hour

Hey all,

I'm looking for a way to generate a report to show category sales by server by hour. In Toast, it appears I can only use the sales breakout to show two measures (i.e. category and server) but not 3 (hour).

Have you found a report to yield this information?

We have a very complicated tip out structure, below, and I've been building an automated report to distribute tips. Without being able to break this down by hour, I can't adequately account for our shift changes. Due to the complexity, the shift close reports aren't enough (plus that information doesn't export).

I've looked into the API, and pending the frequency, this might work. Anyone have any luck generating reports that auto-send after business close in a reasonable time for the management team to use the data before the end of their closing shift? Our bar closes at 2am, managers usually get out by 4am.

Tip Out Structure -

Servers tip out runners 1% of Food+Beverage sales.

Servers tip out bartenders 5% of Beverage sales.

Bartenders tip out runners 1% of Food Sales.

Bartenders tip our Barbacks 4% of Beverage Sales.

5% of event tips are tipped out to runners, net tip is split between servers and bartenders using a proportion.

I am trying to do something similar and was able to configure the different percentages. But couldn't find a way to print only information that's relevant to their job code in shift review. e. g For Bartender only show/printo what they need to Tip out.. Currently it prints All tip outs . if anyone have suggestions please let me know.
