Hello everyone!

It’s that time of year. Yes, we’re deep in the holiday season, but it’s also a good time to make sure all your tax files and forms are in order! We have a full guide for all your W-2 needs, but here are a few important highlights.

The deadline for W-2 related changes is Thursday, January 5th, 2023. Toast will begin filing and generating W-2s on this date, so check out the W-2 Preparation section of the linked W-2 article, and make sure all your employees’ names, addresses, and social security numbers are entered correctly in Toast Payroll.
W-2s will be uploaded to the Toast Payroll system and available electronically on Thursday, January 19th, 2023.
You may elect to have Toast print and mail your W-2s. To receive printed W-2s from Toast, please opt out of self-service printing by December 31, 2022 for a fee of $5 per W-2. You can do this by navigating to Self-Serve Printing under Company > Report Library > Year / Quarter End Reports, and selecting “No”.
If you elect to have Toast print and mail your W-2s, Toast Payroll & Team Management will make every effort to ensure Forms W-2 will arrive by January 31, 2023, for Customers, but cannot guarantee all Forms W-2 will arrive by that date in the event of unforeseen circumstances outside of Toast Payroll & Team Management’s control.
