Digital logging of petty cash and the back bank

Hi all!

First time here.

I think I have a simple question… Right now we are using a printed sheet to manage the in and out of cash flow in petty cash (the “back bank”)

its fine but as we are growing owners are not in the restaurant nearly as much… But we want to be accountable and be able to see that data quickl

I guess the first question is, can we finagle toast to account for not just the drawers but also for the petty cash in the back?

The second question is if not, is there a simple app that anyone uses to help gather up this data and keep it real time in front of owners when they want to?

Looking for a digital solution where this can be seen in real time. Of course, I suppose I can have my teammate, scan it in but if there’s something effective an easy out there that people are using it, like to hear it!

Hey, @Cdenmon, this is what the "Cash drop" option is for; you could run this each time you need to move money to the bank, and it's tracked.

This is something im also looking for. We have a count bills option when closing the drawers, but all that data is then discarded when we close the window to count.

HotSchedules offers the "finance log" option which we use now. Toast having one for safe counts and petty cash bill counts would be great.

Is it in the App Store or just something you made on your own? Would love to know more as I was also thinking of writing something that could help our staff handle back bank cash stuff
