OVERTIME Miscalculations???

Can any payroll users verify that TOAST is calculating their overtime hourly pay correctly?

Most of our FOH employees are paid hourly at $17.25.
I just caught that TOAST overtime rate has been paying at $27.24
$17.25 x 1.5 = $25.875
Difference: 1.365/hr.
I have a call in to support days ago that hasn't been followed up. Let me know if it's happening to you too! Might be location specific. We are in Seattle, WA

Are your Overtime Rules set up properly with a factor of 1.5?

I was not provided a case number after being on hold with support for 1 hour before the woman told me she was going to transfer the case. If it was as simple as overtime rules not being set up correctly, wouldn't the support call have fixed that immediately instead of leaving me on hold for an hour?

You should be able to check on your existing Care Cases over at Toast Central, where you can find your case number for @Rob

I recommend maintaining contact with Support on this issue, especially since you've indicated overtime rules are indeed set properly.

Support team marked the case as RESOLVED when it is NOT. I sent an email back with state and local city wage guidelines that are not being followed in the set up for regular wages and they have not responded.

Toast does not and cannot calculate CA overtime rules correctly. Big letdown that the software cannot even comply with a simple overtime calculation. Not sure what the software developers are working on all day when it does not even do the basics. Time to find a new POS

In the case that was referenced in this post, there was a resolution found that issues with OT were resolved; if you would also like to have more help with this, please provide your case number, or could you provide more insight into the errors you are seeing?
