Employees taking advantage of paid breaks

I noticed if an employee clocks out for a 10 minute (paid) rest break and decides to extend it for more than 10 minutes (30 minutes, an hour etc ) the Toast system will pay them for the entire break.

Is there a way or setting to have them only paid for the 10 minutes and everything over falls into an unpaid break.

Hey @NeedHelp, I found a few resources that may be helpful; it looks like you could create "10min rest break" and a "30min- hour" unpaid break, and the employee would need to select the right one, then you could track this from the Labor Reports.

@Rob thanks for the response. I have my systems setup like this already, however, as long as the employee pushes the paid break button, the Toast system will pay them for every minute on break, regardless of the set time entered.

Is there any update on this? I'm having the same issue where employees come back late from their paid break and are being paid for the extra break time.

You have enforced the minimum time to be enabled as well?
