Stacking BOGO promos on Kiosk or Online Order?

I just want to make sure I didn't miss anything. Can anyone else confirm this on their BOGO setups?

Say you have a BOGO promo code: buy one drink --> get one discounted

Is there any way to make that BOGO code stack on the Kiosk or Online Order?
Meaning if a customer, Buys 2 drinks --> use promo code --> gets 2 discounted

From my testing, this does not appear possible.

I did test by creating a second discount with the same promo code.

This works on the Kiosk, but doesn't work Online.

Also, when I created a BOGO3, BOGO4, BOGO5, it no longer works on Kiosk either.

Any confirmations or suggestions are appreciated!

Should be able to do it with just one promo code, I believe you need to put some values in the required number and eligible # of get items under advanced settings for that to work. It works on POS at least, never tried online but it should, I don't know about kiosk.

Unfortunately that doesn't work on the Kiosk or Online Ordering.

I tested various combinations.

This one requires you selecting 4 items, and then you get 2 for free, i.e. Buy 2, Get 2 Free.
But if you only select 2 items, then you won't get the second one for free.
In addition, if you buy 4 items, you don't get 4 other items for free either (8 items total).

I even tried something like this,

For this one, you only need to pay for a single item, and you get 3 free (4 items total).

Like you said, it works on the POS, but looks like it currently doesn't work on the Kiosk or Online Ordering.

It did work before. Something was changed last year so it no longer works. The only solution is to create two promo codes for buy 1 get 1 and buy 2 get 2.

You may potentially use the same promo code by using combo discount for online ordering.

Thanks for mentioning it worked before! I remembered it did too, but then wasn't sure if I misremembered.

I recall it was from before the new Kiosk UI was implemented. At the time, the Online Ordering promo codes would automatically work for multiple orders and the Kiosk didn't have a way to enter the promo codes.

Also, it only works for a two BOGO offers. If I try it with a "Buy 3 get 3" using the same promo code, then it won't work.

I think Toast just made some changes to the Discount. I'm not sure it was just a fluke but I was able to get it to work when doing some tests. I will get back to you.

I guess I was delusional thinking I got ti figured out. So Buy 3 Get 3 is not possible at the moment until Toast makes some change to the codes. I was able to make Buy 2 Get 2 and Buy 1 Get 1 work for online ordering using the same promo code. Haven't tested on the kiosk yet.

That was what I found as well. Buy 1 Get 1 and Buy 2 Get 2 will work using the same promo code, but Buy 3 Get 3 (and up) don't work. I tested on both Kiosk and Online Order.

For POS, we typically create a second discount that auto-applies. That way our cashiers don't need to input a code, so I didn't test on the POS.
