In that case I don't see why not as long as it supports the label sizes, I think they just reference zebra and dymo as examples of label printers. The retail labels are not actually printed from the POS itself, they are downloaded in the backend and printed so as long as the printer works with whatever computer you will be printing from it should work. Do you have any items created? Are you able to download some now to test it out?

I am about to switch to Toast and was hoping to continue to use my Brother QL-710W label/barcode printer. It looks like the label size is supported by Toast when I go to test print a product label. I've been trying to buy a Zebra ZSB but I have just had my order cancelled for the 3rd time from a 3rd vendor and Zebra support just tells me to buy the printer on their website but it redirects me to Amazon and then it's unavailable.

Has anyone tried using a different printer that the ones shown on Toast (i.e. Dymo and Zebra).

Yes this is for the retail labels/barcodes. I've been reading through all the articles I can on Toast Central about third party label printers and they mention Dymo and Zebra but I also saw then I go to print a barcode label through the Item Library there are label sizes that don't have an associated printer name next to them.

Looks like it's not going to work - turns out the Brother label is off my 0.1in so it's not accepting it.

I have the Brother QL-710W I'm looking for other labels that exactly match one of the predetermined sizes but also have a Zebra ZSB printer and their LC6 labels on the way just to be safe.

Okay, this article https://central.toasttab.com/s/article/Toast-for-Restaurant-Retail-Supported-Barcode-Label-Sizes mentions a scale for a certain dymo printer and label, wonder if tweaking the scale under the print settings might work for the brother as well.
