Pay Screen, Same Table Multiple checks Auto advance the tabs..

We have 2 cash registers that take payments from the customers in the dining room. When a large table comes to pay, we begin accessing the checks on both terminals in the Pay screens. But when a customer pays thier check, the other screnn automatically advances the screen to the next check right before hitting the guest pay button so we end up charging a guest for the wrong tab. It happens quickly, and even occurs when guests pay at the table using the QR code.

Our solution is to line up all guests from that table at one terminal to pay which helps but you never really know if its a split check.

Is there a setting that prevents the screen from advancing to the next tab when pay

No there isn't. You could change table to "no table" after splitting up checks, then they will no longer be grouped together with the table when you are taking payments. I believe you can select multiple and do it in bulk too which makes it less of a pain.

Actually just tested it and it doesn't seem to work if you select more than one check at a time to change tables so it would have to be done to each check.
