I BEG BEG that to be an option! Reward points need to expire. My customers find it funny to accumulate massive amounts of points. My servers are trained to tell them how many they have and encourage them to use them. But they choose to hold on to them. It would be a better opportunity to bring customers back and use their points if they were risking loss of points.

I discontinued our previous POS rewards point system due to this. I don't know how I thought it would be a good idea again with Toast....

Hey, @Cinven At the moment, reward points do not have an expiration date. However, you have the option to inform your customers that points will expire, then make manual adjustments to their point balances.

You can set a redemption limit though, that will stop them from accumulating them all and then running up a huge tab.

No they don't expire. Customer CAN still rack up a ton of points. My customers hoard their points and think it's funny or a game. Our servers are trained to ask would they like use the points and they hold them. But setting a redemption limit is not the answer either. POINTS NEED TO EXPIRE!!!! PLEASE!

Sorry for the delayed response...I don't know what restaurant owner has the time to sit and track points to manually adjust balances......hundreds of customers. Might as well keep track on paper.

Hey @Cinven Thank you for your feedback! I have forwarded it to the concerned team. While there is a possibility that this feature may be added in the future, I was unable to find any information on its expected release date. At this time, the only option available is to manually adjust the amounts in bulk using Excel. Another option could be to limit the amount that can be redeemed at one time, so even if a customer has a large number of points, you can limit how many they can use at one time.
