    <description>&lt;P&gt;Unfortunately, in most states gift cards cannot expire. &amp;nbsp;What some companies do is impose a monthly service fee after a certain period of time to maintain the balance. I don’t know if TOAST could set that up but like&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://community.toasttab.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/76"&gt;@Rob&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;@ I believe that would need to be a manual action. However, if it’s not spelled out at the time of purchase, you might run into some unhappy guests.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;you could consider offering a discount code instead of a gift card. Discount codes can have expiration dates. I’ve use these quite often myself, and find them to be useful.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
