Hey @flyfish66, Gift cards do not expire, but balances may be set to 0.00 after a period of non-use. If you want to implement a sort of expiration.

Expiration dates on gift cards would be nice as sometimes we run a promotion if you buy a gift card for someone we give you a gift card. With the objective of driving sales for particular date range

Unfortunately, in most states gift cards cannot expire. What some companies do is impose a monthly service fee after a certain period of time to maintain the balance. I don’t know if TOAST could set that up but like @Rob @ I believe that would need to be a manual action. However, if it’s not spelled out at the time of purchase, you might run into some unhappy guests.

you could consider offering a discount code instead of a gift card. Discount codes can have expiration dates. I’ve use these quite often myself, and find them to be useful.
