Since rolling out our new POS experience, we've heard feedback from customers that servers aren't receiving training due to time constraints. In order to help staff become more comfortable using the new experience, we’ve added server training materials directly on the POS. To access the materials, servers can tap the new Help & Resources option in the device level overflow menu, at the top right corner of the following screens: Quick Order, Table Service, Payment Terminal, Shift Review. This option is only available when the new POS experience is enabled.

The bulk import tool allows Toast restaurants using multi-location management to use a comma-separated values (CSV) file to import menu changes in bulk to the Toast administration back-end.

xtraCHEF users have been able to search for specific recipes and prep recipes within the system for a while. But now, you can search for specific ingredients! Looking for any recipe that includes broccoli? Simply type "broccoli" into the search bar on the recipe page to find any recipes containing that ingredient. Happy searching!

Does your restaurant use Loyalty but not Online Ordering? With this new update, all locations with an active Loyalty module can be searched for in the Toast Takeout app regardless of whether they're using Online Ordering. This allows guests to see their Loyalty progress at these locations.

Unseating a guest is now available in Toast Tables. Simply tap the table and tap actions > Unseat Party. Unseating the party will add them back into the waitlist.

Location Picker page for multi-location COO restaurants: Use a single URL to allow guests to see all your locations that offer catering online ordering.
To enable - go to the Catering Settings page -> Guest Experience card to set up locations that show up in the list.
Restaurants can now allow their customers to place tax-exempt catering orders online. Customers will be required to enter a tax ID if they select this option.
To turn on this setting, find it in the Order Setup section of the COO Settings.
