Discounts/Promos for Marriott Properties

Hello Ya'll,
Through the recent journey of adding Toast to a Marriott property, I have found Toast is not always up to speed nor is prepared to handle support needs with how to handle Marriott properties. I thought I would share some information that may be helpful to you in case you run into the same issue I did with adding/changing promos/discounts.

Marriott now handles Discount/Promo creation and management through the GPOS team and you cannot do it yourself. If you need a discount/promo added or changed you will need to open a ticket up on Service Now:

GPOS Support - Employee Center (service-now.com)

  • Their SLA/response standard is within 72 BUSINESS hours. 
  • If you have a promo launching with a menu change or specific date if you include the info they can set it up with details in advance.
  • If you have an issue after deployment respond back to the ticket and they will prioritize it.
