It would be nice if Toast can create a Grocery discussion board in Toast Community where others using Toast for a say a Butcher Shop or Seafood Butcher Shop or a boutique gourmet style grocery store can exchange ideas and ask questions that pertain to these unique operations.
We use Toast for our Meat Butcher shop and for a Seafood Butcher shop and also sell prepared foods and gourmet grocery items.
I believe Toast is expanding into these types of business as theyhave a new Retail software.
Butcher/Seafood Shops present different circumstances and challenges than what Toast was originally designed for (restaurants). This type of business requires different work arounds in Toast.
