Hello!

Are there permissions for the Tips Management feature in Toast?

Who is allowed to view this function?

Who is allowed to make edits to tip policies?

Who is allowed to make edits to tips/gratuities for certain shifts/days?

Who is allowed to send/unsend tips?

Users who wish to create, modify, or update a tip policy will need Toast Web permission 6.6 Restaurant Operations Setup. Anyone with this permission will be able to do all of the following that you have asked, to find out more about the Tips Manager, check out the article below!

Follow-up question:
Is there any sort of Audit Log associated with the Tip Manager policy? I recently looked at our policy and someone had made a significant change to the percentage retained by servers vs shared with support staff. When I asked our GM about it, he claimed to be as surprised as I was that the change was made.

I'd like to know who changed the policy, and what date the policy was changed. Not seeing an intuitive way to find that information. In the meantime I will lock down access as to who is authorized to make these changes. Thank you!

I wasn't able to find an Audit log for the tip manager, but have you checked out the published history changes? There might be info here on who published those changes.

Just checked 6.6 Restaurant Operations Setup and it contains SO MANY areas that our supervisors legitimately require ongoing access to, like online delivery options.

Was hoping to restrict Tip Pooling policy changes just to Owner, GM, and AGM.

Fingers crossed there's an audit log on policy changes.
