Restaurants can now accept catering online orders without collecting payment at checkout. This will create a confirmed, unpaid order. An invoice can be generated to collect payment as needed.

A lead, catering order, and invoice representing the same event now share a single number, making tracking the journey from initial contact through final payment easy. These numbers are visible and searchable on all three tables and are unique across all your locations.
Toast restaurants using Order & Pay can now configure a message that will be the first thing guests see in Order & Pay. To configure Spotlight Messaging, log into Toast Web → Front of House → Mobile Dining Solutions → Order & Pay → Spotlight Messaging.

In quick edit, when rearranging items, items that are out of stock will have a greyed-out color treatment to appear as disabled as they do in the non-quick edit experience.
Previously, there was no confirmation dialog on the new POS experience for editing another user’s check, regardless of whether the restaurant had turned on the UI option to prompt users when editing another server’s check. This bug fix has now ensured that the UI option acts as expected.
Restaurants using Toast can now close and open the table service details pane in the new POS experience by tapping a Hide or Show button to the left of the service areas navigation bar instead of using the list button to the right of the service areas navigation bar.
You can now open the order screen for a check by tapping a menu item in the check detail in the table service details pane.
Previously, restaurants using Courses would not receive a notification if a menu item sent to the kitchen was not assigned a course. When sending a menu item to the kitchen that’s missing a course assignment, the Toast POS app now displays a message requiring a course assignment.
You will now be prompted to select which checks to print when tapping the Print button on the table details pane for an order with multiple checks.
Toast is now integrated with Push Operations, a cloud-based people management platform that automates your HR, payroll, time tracking, and scheduling tasks into one easy-to-use platform.

We now support the following 5 currency symbols: $ (USD), € (EUR), £ (GBP), C$ (CAD), and CA$ (CAD) when using the retail module. These symbols can be used in the item library grid, filters/facets, item details page, and when importing bulk updates.
We’ve added a calendar tab to Toast Web within your Toast Tables settings where you can easily see upcoming special dates, days with adjusted booking access, and total reservation covers for each day. You can also create special dates and quickly edit booking access for a day directly from the calendar.
