Fulfillment Times on 3rd Party Orders - How are they Calculated

How are fulfillment times on 3rd Party delivery orders such as DoorDash, UberEats, GrubHub calculated? When reviewing our fulfillment times, orders from our integrated 3rd party partners are significantly longer than our in-store orders, however, the time it takes us to actually prepare is the same. How are these fulfillment times calculated? What triggers their start and what triggers their finish?

Thanks!

Thank you for getting in touch! For inquiries about those orders, it's best to contact the third-party providers directly, as their fulfillment times play a key role.
Toast shows the partner-provided “promise/quoted” times and tracks the order timeline based on their events. It’s important to note that the dispatch and driver activities often lead to longer fulfillment times compared to in-store orders, even if kitchen prep remains the same. To address your unique situation more effectively, I encourage you to reach out to an integrations support specialist who can provide you with more assistance!
