I am having some troubles entering a negative deposit at the end of the day. The expected deposit is showing up in the sales report properly as a negative number, but when we try to enter the actual up at the terminal, it wont let us put in a negative number. Are we missing something? Is there another way to do it?

Hey @JesseQ, you are unable to enter a negative deposit on the terminal.
If you must enter a negative deposit, you need to adjust it on the backend; information on how to do this is below.

It might also help to set tip payouts to be on paychecks instead of at the end of the night so you won't have a negative deposit!

normally you shouldn't get a negative deposit.

We pay out our servers and bartenders all of their credit card tips at the end of their shift. Sometimes this outweighs our cast sales and we end up with a negative deposit for that day

ah that makes sense now. I'm sorry that I rarely run into situations like that. In case this, I think it's better to do a "cash in" when the deposit comes out negative.
