The new lockdown on logging in from non-Toast hardware this year is a real nightmare. It wouldn't be so bad if the websites pos view in the menu editor worked at all, but it doesn't.
I know they will say it's for security etc, but it is plainly a money thing that they want to be sure they are getting as much monthly revenue as possible.
The bluestacks thing didn't work to take payments etc, but it was very useful for testing changes and making sure layouts were the same between locations or troubleshooting issues that staff brought up. It should be possible to create a "license" for a bluestacks instance that cannot process payments so that these things can continue to be done. If not then Toast needs to fix pos view on their own website and make it functional.
