FEATURE REQUEST - Payrate Maintenance

Cheri
Soup II

Good afternoon Toast Team!

We love Toast but being a customer that transitioned from a different system to Toast, we miss some features we used to have. I hope you will consider making this a feature request as it would help lock down employee payrates and help us be more efficient when it comes time to update payrates.

1. Have a field in Job setup that allows us to set a min and max payrate to help lock down wage override. We give permissions to managers to set up employees and assign jobs and payrates. This would allow managers to enter a payrate in wage override but allow us to have a cap on each jobs highest wage. Then if a manager accidentally forgets a decimal or puts it in the wrong place Toast could throw up an error and the employee won't save unless a rate within the min and max threshold was entered into that field. We actually have a case that a manager recently entered 1750 instead of 17.50.

2. Be able to schedule a default wage rate update in Jobs for the future. This would help us be able to update default rates a head of time instead of having to do it the morning of or night before.

3. A report/export that allows us to see all employees, their job, default rate, and wage override rate. This will allow us to set a plan to update employees who make a different amount than the default rate or if a manager enters the same amount as a default rate into the wage override field. Although we ask managers not to do that, it slips through the cracks and would help us keep up with those issues and would overall be a useful Admin/HR tool.
