Hi All,

We are joining Toast soon. Question about the KDS screens...does the kitchen accept orders when they come in or only fulfill them when done?

If I understand you correctly, KDS will be both. It will show all work tickets sent to kitchen on the KDS screen and your kitchen staff can mark ticket fulfilled by tapping it.

There is an option under Kitchen setup to Flash Changes.  When this is enabled, new tickets will flash on the KDS.  Kitchen staff can tap the ticket once and it will stop flashing.
