Toast Tables is now mobile-friendly for iPhone and Android phones! This supports full booking, table management, and messaging capabilities. Please note that the timeline view, server roster management, table assignments, and the guest tab remain tablet-only at this time.
The server list when creating your roster is now filtered to show only employees with the server role by default. Users can still search to add any non-server employees to the roster.
Guests can now create Toast accounts for express booking via Toast Tables so they can manage all of their upcoming reservations in one place, as well as easily make future reservations with all of their information pre-filled. These guest accounts are able to be used by the guest across other Toast experiences, such as online ordering, Toast Takeout, Scan-to-Pay, and Mobile Order and Pay.
As a result of this launch, one large change has occurred for hosts and managers to be aware of: multiple guests can now exist for a single phone number. Since guests can choose to checkout as a guest OR use an account, multiple guests could be created for a given phone number. We will always give the guest result that is tied to an account as the first option, followed by the guests with the most bookings. Hosts/managers will need to potentially choose from the list of results.
Restaurants with Toast Mobile Order & Pay can now toggle popular and/or featured items on and off for their Order & Pay menus within Toast Web.

With this new update, you can disable payments on Mobile Order & Pay so your servers and staff can collect them instead. This is ideal if your restaurant offers all-you-can-eat or hot pot.
Restaurants using Toast Catering and Events can not set cutoff times for same-day orders. For example, you can require all orders for that day to be placed by 9:00 AM.
Restaurants can now send an estimate at any point in the workflow, even after an invoice has been sent.
Restaurants can now set a default due date for invoices in settings.

Big news! You can now embed a lead form directly on your website by using a form embed code. This does not require you to be using Toast Websites; It will work with any website provider that allows iFrame code to be added.
We’ve rewritten how we handle the invisible aspects of SEO, introducing structure data that will enrich search results and may help restaurants stand out on Google. We’ve also added a new SEO section to the Websites Settings page, giving you greater control over the data you send to search engines both at the site and page level.
We want to make sure that restaurants using Toast Websites are starting from a great place with their website, so we’ve introduced a set of visually striking templates, selectable during Website Onboarding, that really show off the range of designs this tool is capable of.
With this new preconfigured pop-up, you can now ask their guests if they meet age requirements before allowing them into their website.

If a user ends up on a broken page or something goes wrong on your website, the error page is now branded with your restaurant’s colors and fonts alongside appropriate messaging for the error.

Great news! We’ve addressed issues that were causing PDF uploads to fail.
Are you an owner looking to track employee sentiment over time to influence adjustments and retain key top talent? This update is for you.
Shift feedback will not be anonymously gathered but will be optional and available to be submitted after a user clocks out of their shift. Notifications to submit feedback are sent five minutes after clock-out (manually or via auto clock-out) and remain on a user’s dashboard for 24 hours or until they clock into their next shift. This means that the time clock must be enabled for shift feedback to be enabled. When users submit feedback, the shift feedback report automatically populates their responses.
New customers are now able to import vendors from their Quickbooks Online account and map them to any pre-existing vendors that were created systematically due to invoices that have been previously uploaded. Payment terms assigned to that vendor in Quickbooks Online will also be imported into the xtraCHEF account. New customers can control which date their invoice/bill data will begin to be extracted from xtraCHEF to Quickbooks Online.
Do you have employees on your payroll who haven’t provided their social security numbers? Now, the Toast Tax Experience team has set up employee email campaigns to obtain social security numbers directly from your employees to help avoid tax filing rejections. On a monthly basis, all employees with missing SSNs will receive an automated email asking them to log in to Toast Payroll and enter their SSN via the Employee modal.
We’ve launched a new Rewards page within the Toast TakeOut app where guests can track all their loyalty programs to their favorite Toast restaurants. Guests can also see suggested offers at nearby restaurants and recommended loyalty programs offering bonus points.
