Open tab visible at multiple terminals?

Trying to figure out the best way to run our POS with multiple terminals and handhelds - and allow a guest to open a tab at one station and ring additional drinks on the same tab at an alternate station.

We're now thinking it's going to be better for our operations to have bartenders ring under their individual numbers, rather than each bar station ring under a number associated with that particular bar station.

We'd like a guest to be able to open a tab a Bar A, and order more drinks on that same tab at Bar B.

Does anyone know, if a tab is started under one bartender's number (eg: 1234) at Bar A, can that same tab be pulled up at Bar B by another bartender? Does that second bartender need to know the first bartender's login (1234)? Or is it just universally visible?

Thanks for any help.

When we set up our system in 2019, our "Toast Success Mgr" advised us to ring based on terminal, to allow other bartenders to see the same tabs at other stations. But it seems like maybe Toast has changed the way tabs are visible. But not something I really want to *test* during a night of service. Hoping to hear from folks who do a similar thing at their venues...

Our bartenders ring under their own numbers and they can see all the tabs. It’s just a permission setting on the back end if it’s not already set to let them see others tabs. Something you will want to keep in mind, it will not show you correct sales per bartender since anything they ring up is under the bartender who started the tab. If you keep track any of that it will not be a true representation of each one’s sales while on the same shift.
