I used to have an online ordering service through Edining, and for takeout or delivery orders, my restaurant would receive information indicating whether the order was already paid or not. It would display "Paid online" or "Not Paid" based on the payment status. During busy times, our staff could easily identify which orders required payment and confidently handle them. However, with the transition to Toast's kitchen slip, this information is missing. When there are 15 orders ready, I have to navigate through all the orders on the POS screen, which takes a long time to determine the payment status. There should be a field or indicator displaying whether the order is paid online or not on the kitchen slip so staff can simply hand over the food without being worried asking to pay twice, or if anyone has any other suggestions that can save time during busy time to determine order payment status I will be a great help.

What is your kitchen setup? Just one prep station and printer?

Assuming it is just one, or you want to use an existing prep station printer as the expo printer, go to your prep stations and whatever one is assigned to the printer you want to use as expo make sure send to expediter is selected and set printer to none, that should fix your double ticket issue.

Yes in the kitchen there is only one printer but this time while I was waiting for your reply I called the support line and I was able to get someone helpful from the support and he told me to go to kitchen and under ticket footer uncheck the “prep station” option and also told me if that still prints out two tickets then uncheck “always print tickets” option under prep stations. So the first option obviously ddnt work because it’s just an info in the footer section but the second option did result in only printing one ticket with payment info.

Ok, yeah unchecking always print is another option, just keep in mind that if you are ever in offline mode you would get the double tickets during that time, otherwise unassign the printer completely from that prep station.

First of all I want to thank you so much for helping me and I am impressed with your knowledge and kindness. I am sharing this screen shot from the prep station. So I did uncheck the always print tickets for the kitchen one. And that’s the one which was the only one checked before. So what should I do instead to avoid double print when in offline mode again please? Just tell me like I am a kindergarten child to check and uncheck which options 😂 by looking at this screen shot.
