Time entries audit

Is there any built-in feature that would cause an employee time card to be adjusted without any specific action by another employee or administrator? I've recently seen numerous clock-in times adjusted to seemingly random later times with no reasonable explanation. In some cases, the employees time was corrected and then found to have been changed again later in the day. We've been using Toast for two months and this just started a few days ago. I know the audit report shows who made a modification, but there's no evidence that person actually made the changes or even knows how.

Are you saying the changes are in the audit report with the employee who changed them but they are saying they didn't make the change, or there is nothing in the audit report?

The report does show a name, but when I asked that person, he had no knowledge of it. I tend to believe him since he's my employer who I've worked with for over 16 years and has incredible integrity. He has administrator credentials but really knows very little about Toast, other than viewing some basic sales and labor reports, and sends everything else to his accountant. Plus, it's inconceivable that he'd spend the time to make 40 timecard edits in one day for no measurable benefit. He's just not that hands-on in how he operates. He's all about communicating and not manipulating. 

Also, the times were so random, it made no sense. I suppose one could assume that was intentional. But I can't imagine him or anyone monitoring times closely enough to adjust them repeatedly by small and random increments.

Oh I wasn't insinuating that they are lying just trying to clarify that statement so everyone understands the issue you have. So you said there were 40 random edits in one day? Was it time outs or time in? A mix?

No offense taken. The edits were all  time in, as far as I can tell. And it had nothing to do with what time they were scheduled. For example, one was scheduled to start at 10:00. They clocked in at 10:06. The time was modified to 10:26. I corrected it remotely to 10:06. Later the same day it was modified to 10:47. Similar things happened to several employees. We're a fairly small business with a small staff. Most had their times adjusted that day. Almost none prior to that day and none since. That's one thing that makes it so peculiar.
