New POS experience date change

Hi Toast Community 👋🏽

We wanted to share the news that the new POS experience will be fully enabled for your restaurant on January 30, 2024 instead of November 8, 2023. 

We understand that the new POS experience may be a significant change for your restaurant and we want to give you more time to start using it, as we know you will be busy with the upcoming holiday rush. While we developed the new POS experience to help improve ease of use & training  of Toast’s POS system, we recognize that many of these changes introduced new ways of using the POS for you and your staff. We believe that this extra time will allow you to train your staff and begin thriving in the new experience prior to sunsetting the classic experience on January 30, 2024. 

Based on the customer feedback we’ve gathered across all channels, we plan to make some additional  improvements to the new POS experience before it becomes the sole supported experience for all Toast restaurants. While we encourage you to start using the new POS experience and take advantage of the new features ahead of the January 30, 2024  enablement, you will have the option to revert back to the classic experience on your terminal or via Toast Web until January 30, 2024.
