Remote payment/pre-authorization with a credit card

I have a guest who wants me to send him a link so he can remotely pay for a dinner party on the company's tab. They wish to pre-authorize the card a week before so I can charge it on the event day. Is there something I can send them to do this?

Invoices might work for this, you could take a deposit with invoices as a sort of pre-authorization amount for the dinner, but I think you would still need to send the finalized invoice for full payment after the party.   https://central.toasttab.com/s/article/Charging-Guests-for-Event-Deposits-by-Using-Customer-Invoices...
