Setting up 2 Expediter Screens

Mmel

We have a property that has two kitchens with 2 separate menus.  We would ideally like to have 2 expediter screens on the expo in each kitchen.  Currently we have to set up one as a prep station as we were told Toast can only have one expediter screen.  Since the prep station screen doesn't show when each prep station has completed the ticket it causes confusion when busy.   There must be properties running toast with multiple separate kitchens.  Any help or solutions would be appreciated. We have out 2 kitchen's expediter screens set up this way and it works. Just set the menu items for each kitchen to have the appropriate coursing. For example we have kitchen 1 entree set as the default course for that kitchen's menu and kitchen 2 entree set for the default coursing for that kitchens menu. The 2 issue to watch for is if a server changes one to the wrong course it will go to the wrong expediter screen but still goes to the correct prep screens.  The other potential issue is if you use automatic course pacing and put an item from each kitchen on one ticket, it will hold the item with the later course until the course before it is marked complete or until the expediter fires it manually.

You could possibly set your two menus to have two separate "courses". For example: menu 1 has "Course1 " assigned and menu2 has "course 2" assigned. Under device setup, set "Kitchen Expediter" to "YES" on both of your KDS. On the KDS for Kitchen 1, look for "Ticket Display Option" under Device Setup and check the course(s) that is/are assigned to menu1. Repeat the same steps for the other KDS. I have never tested it out before but theoretically menus should be displayed separately on your KDS.
