Using Your own “bank” as a server

Ok dilemma. So I use my own bank as a server. Well recently we opened the bar and they subsequently had me in there. The problem being is they still had me clock in under my same “server” number but then also assigned me a drawer for the bar. The problem I am having is because my server number recognizes I am to have my own bank. I feel like I have now gotten shafted twice because they are not understanding that technically me having a drawer I would essentially count the drawer and then give them what is due at the end of my cash out correct? It just feels like I have been cheated now twice. I feel I should be clocking out as a server (on a double), and then clocking back in as a bartender with a drawer. Am I correct? How does toast recognize that I’m a server with my own bank and then a bartender with a drawer if I’m technically supposed to carry my bank under that number?

You would need to create a bartender job and a sever job with different logins for Toast to know the difference. I can't say if you are getting screwed or not, but Toast will not recognize the difference between the two unless you create different jobs.

If the cash drawer is set to open when doing cash sales and you are using the drawer for cash sales, the cash should go into that drawer and not in your hand as far as the shift review is concerned. What does your shift review show at the end of the shift? If you see money under cash in drawer and cash in hand is 0 then it is in the drawer, as far as what is yours depends on how the tips are being handled, what are you doing with cash tips? How are you getting paid for credit card tips?
